Crossroads Shopping Complex in Riverbank had quite the influx of people this past Saturday and it wasn’t just because this was the final full weekend in a busy holiday shopping season.

The 1985 Gallery, along with several other businesses, threw a Christmas celebration to give back to the community. La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, Bruce’s Barbershop on Atchison Street, Brittany Alexander and World’s Famous Legends in Ceres collaborated in a holiday toy drive for the past few weeks and distributed the toys collected, hosting the giveaway this past Saturday, Dec. 17.

The 1985 Gallery opened in Crossroads in August and offers a variety of unique and posh sneakers like Nike, Jordans, and Adidas, hats, and apparel. Gallery partner Ryan Sibitz grew up in this area and was delighted to open a store that could offer people brands and selections that typically may only be found in bigger cities.

The Gallery also wanted to serve as a good community partner, coordinating the ‘give back’ event for those who may be in need in the community.
