Christmas Festival Saturday
Placeholder Image

As much a tradition as turkey is on Thanksgiving, the annual downtown Riverbank Christmas Festival is on the schedule for Saturday, Nov. 30.

Hosted the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the city’s official welcoming in of the holiday season will run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the downtown area around the Plaza del Rio.

Festivities start off at 2 p.m. with the 12th annual Riverbank Christmas Craft Faire hosted on Third Street between Topeka and Santa Fe, offering a wide variety of vendors so you can get started on the holiday shopping. At 5:30 p.m., the 45th annual Riverbank Community Christmas Parade will hit downtown with music, dancing horses, community groups, floats and more. The traditional “Riverbank Lights the Way” tree lighting ceremony and visits with Santa Claus will take place in the Plaza del Rio directly after the parade.
