Mark the calendar for a couple of fun upcoming camps aimed at Riverbank youth, with a Creepy Crawly Crafts For Kids and a Hip Hop Camp both scheduled from Monday, June 13 through Friday, June 17.

Creepy Crawly Crafts will be offered at Castleberg Park, Eighth and Kentucky, from 10 a.m. to noon each day, open to boys and girls ages 4 to 7. Cost is $25; there must be a minimum of eight children signed up for the camp to be held.

Come and create creepy crafts, including edible bugs to eat or fuzzy ones to scare your mom. Please wear enclosed shoes at this mini-day amp.

Hip Hop camp will be offered in the Cardozo Gym, 3625 Santa Fe, from 9 a.m. to noon, open to boys and girls ages 6 to 12, at a cost of $55 per participant.

Come and go ‘Clown Walkin’ and learn how to Bugaloo and pop. A camp T-shirt is provided, enclosed shoes are a must and attendees should bring a snack and water. Parents are encouraged to drop their children off and then leave, so a scheduled performance at the end of camp will be a surprise routine.

Also on the schedule later this month, the popular Outdoor Adventure Camp at Jacob Myers Park. That camp, June 20 through 24, meets at Burney Pavilion and runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., open to boys and girls, 6 to 12 years of age. Cost is $90. Come and enjoy the great outdoors, explore, hike, observe nature and create art projects with items found in the park.
