The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the eastbound direction of SR-4/Crosstown Freeway for highway construction.

Work is scheduled to begin Friday, Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 31 at 5 a.m.

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials and construction related issues.

This work is part of the Crosstown Big Fix project which included eight 55-hour various weekend closures between April 29 and Oct. 31. One direction per weekend of the Crosstown Freeway will be closed at a time for rehabilitation. Weekend closures will save 50 working days of construction and reduce lane closures from 140 days to 15 days. I-5 and SR-99 traffic will be redirected to detours and alternate routes at SR-120 and SR-12.
