Riverbank Police Services is gearing up for the ninth annual “Shop with a Cop” event. This program is designed to assist underprivileged children during the holiday season. Through generous donations from the community and participating local businesses, selected children will be picked up by a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputy in a patrol car and escorted to a select store in the city of Riverbank. The deputy will shop with the children, who will receive a warm jacket and much needed essential clothing.

At the conclusion of the shopping spree, the children will be escorted to the Riverbank Community Center where they will join their parents and enjoy a pizza dinner. Santa will be there, taking pictures with the children and passing out gifts. This year’s event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

If you or your business would like to make a tax deductible donation to help sponsor a child, you can bring your donation in to the Riverbank Police Services or you may mail a check to Riverbank Police Services at 6727 Third Street, Riverbank, CA 95367.

Please make checks payable to the “City of Riverbank.” Donation receipt is available upon request. Tax ID available upon request.
