College and high school student filmmakers can save $10 on submission fees by submitting their short films in a local competition by the Friday, Dec. 15, earlybird deadline. The Student Film Festival will be held March 17, 2018, at the Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Tracy. For submission rules go to grandfoundation.org/events/film. The final deadline for film submissions is Jan. 5, 2018. The Grand Foundation will present $6,750 in awards for the best student films.
