Members of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District Board of Directors, with offices on Topeka Street in Riverbank, could welcome a new chief this week.
A special session slated for Tuesday morning, June 21 in Waterford – after The News went to press – had a closed session on the agenda with Public Employment – Fire Chief as the listed item to be discussed in that session.
Michael Wapnowski has been acting as the Deputy Chief while the Chief’s position remained vacant but the board may be ready to bring a new chief to the district. A report from closed session is due following the board’s return to open session.
There will also be a public comment period offered prior to the board going into the closed session.
The meet was set for 8:30 a.m. in Conference Room 1 at Waterford City Hall, 101 E St., Waterford.
