Fire Protection District Board Meeting Scheduled

A meeting of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District Finance Committee is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Station 26 meeting room, 3318 Topeka St., Riverbank.

The session is scheduled to include discussion on a number of financial items including a mid-year budget review and possible revisions; a District cash position analysis update and a cost recovery/fee collection services update. There is also time set aside for public comment.

Members of the Finance Committee include Michelle Guzman, Steve Green, Michael Wapnowski, Dennis Behrens, Shawn Ehrenberg and Clint Bray.

The Finance Committee session precedes a regularly scheduled evening meeting of the district’s Board of Directors with agenda items for that 6 p.m. session scheduled to include a discussion of purchasing policies and fiscal responsibility. Also the board will welcome Gaby Hernandez, an Administrative Assistant II, at the start of the session. That meeting will also be in the Station 26 meeting room.

A variety of staff reports will be presented and a closed session has four items due for discussion, including labor negotiations regarding non-safety personnel, Stanislaus Consolidated battalion chiefs and a possible revision of the employment agreement with Acting Fire Chief Michael Wapnowski.

Board members include President Susan Zanker, Vice President Michelle Guzman, Directors Steve Green and Dave Woods, with one director position vacant.

Stanislaus Consolidated serves the cities of Riverbank, Oakdale and Waterford, the Oakdale Fire District and the communities of Knights Ferry, Valley Home, Empire, La Grange and Hickman.
