Firefighters, Riverbank Police Services and Ambulance personnel responded to a late evening traffic accident Friday night at the intersection of Roselle and Glow roads in Riverbank. A motorcycle and passenger vehicle collided head on, with the motorcyclist – described as man in his 40s – was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not available at press time. The crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department officials said the motorcyclist ran into the oncoming car and was thrown from the motorcycle upon impact. Both vehicles had major damage.
