Officials of Riverbank Golden Agers, a local group catering to the 55+ crowd here, is recruiting members.

They meet at the Riverbank Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe St., in the downtown area, each Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Officials noted that members take turns bringing refreshments, and sometimes host pot lucks for members. And there’s always a live band to provide music for the weekly dance gatherings.

Couples and singles are invited to join, or just come down and drop in.

Non-members pay $6, while Golden Agers members pay $5, which pays for the band. Membership fee is $12.

The get-togethers feature live music, dancing and socializing, along with refreshments.
