The Kids Health and Safety Fair and Bicycle Rodeo will return to downtown Riverbank next week.
The event, scheduled for Wednesday, July 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., has been moved to the Plaza del Rio Park, on Third Street across from city hall, because of road construction on Santa Fe Street in front of Community Center Park, where it has been held in the past.
The event includes free bicycle registration for those who ride their bikes to the event, as well as food and crafts, and the bike rodeo for youngsters ages 12 and under.
For resident cyclists aged 13-18, a bike wheelie and trick riding contest will be held. Contestants must register on-site, with parental consent required.
Food and crafts will be available, as well as booths staffed by city employees and community organizations, offering health and safety information, and a bike raffle will be held.
Those interested in donating a bike can contact darlene@cvcr-ca.org or by calling 209-869-3005. Vendors who would like to participate can also contact Darlene.
The event is sponsored, in part, by the City of Riverbank, Riverbank Police Services/Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department., and Central Valley Community Resources.
