HOLIDAY GREETINGS
Kris Kayaker received his Christmas gift earlier this month when someone gave him a Santa hat to wear for the holiday season. Stationed at the roundabout on Squire Wells, Kris and his kayak greet shoppers who are heading home, or those just traveling north towards the houses of Crossroads in Riverbank. Though someone took his paddles back in 2008 for their recycle value during the recession, Kris remains on duty night and day. Ric McGinnis/The News
