Well, autumn has arrived and it’s time to start working on plans to celebrate the holidays, according to the Riverbank Federated Women’s Club.
And they’re looking for a few creative people to usher in the Christmas season and all its holiday decorations. They’ll be able to join in the fun and put their talents to good use as a hostess for the seventh annual Riverbank Holiday Luncheon Fundraiser this December.
The Women’s Club is already looking for table hostesses to show off their hospitality skills and creativity by decorating tables and enjoying the festivities at this year’s luncheon.
It’s set for Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Riverbank Community Center.
Fun loving hostesses will decorate their holiday-themed tables for eight, and invite their friends to purchase the $25 tickets. Then they’ll all enjoy the festivities, sharing lunch at the decorated tables. Organizers said this year will feature a luncheon created by the Hoff barbecue team.
All proceeds benefit the club’s activities supporting local educational programs.
Interested hostesses can contact chairperson Marilyn McRitchie at 209-869-1760 by Nov. 1 for more information.
Although a regular, yearly event, the local Women’s Club was not able to hold one last year because the Community Center was being remodeled.
