Hey bidder, bidder, get ready for some of the best livestock auctions Stanislaus County has to offer.

Local bidders will have the chance to take home some of the finest livestock in the Central Valley at the Stanislaus County Fair’s 46th Annual Replacement Heifer Sale on Friday, July 12 and the 49th Annual Junior Livestock Auction on Saturday, July 20 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds, located at 900 N. Broadway in Turlock.

Buyers may pre-register for the sale and auction at the Fair’s Exhibit Office, in the Costco Commercial Exhibits Building E-2, until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17.

“These 4-H and FFA exhibitors spend much time and attention on each animal and many of them use the money raised at the Heifer Sale and Junior Livestock Auction as a generous contribution to a first car or college fund,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “I think bidders would be hard-pressed to find animals that are better fed and better cared for than those exhibited at the Stanislaus County Fair.”

Riverbank will have some FFA members at the upcoming fair, while the community also has some 4-Hers that likely will participate as well.

Buyers are invited to the 46th Annual Replacement Heifer Sale on Friday, July 12, following the Heifer Preview, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Thurman Pavilion.

See the county’s finest rabbits, poultry, market beef, swine, sheep and goats at the 49th Annual Junior Livestock Auction, Saturday, July 20 at 8 a.m. The Livestock Awards and Master Champion Assembly in the Thurman Pavilion will be held Sunday, July 21.

Catalogs for the 2013 Replacement Heifer Sale are available now in the Fair’s Livestock Office. The Livestock Office is located on the Fairgrounds, near the Soderquist Road entrance. The catalogs are sponsored by Yosemite Farm Credit.

Catalogs for the Junior Livestock Auction will be available on the morning of the auction and will be distributed during bidder registration and check-in.
