Memorial Tree Lighting Set At County Courthouse
Tree

The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office Victim Services Program will sponsor the 18th Annual Lighting of the Homicide Victims’ Memorial Tree and Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.

The ceremony will be held on the Courthouse Lawn at 1100 I St., Modesto. District Attorney Birgit Fladager will be opening the ceremony. The program will include Guest Speaker Sandy Ranzo-Howell, with special music by Stephanie King and Song for the City-Turlock Community Choir.

Friends and family of homicide victims are invited to attend and bring a non-breakable ornament to hang on the tree in remembrance of their loved ones who are not with us to celebrate the holiday season due to the criminal acts of others.

In case of rain, the program will be moved to the parking garage at 832 12th St., across from the courthouse. For more information, contact the Victim Services Program at 525-5541.
