Normally open on Saturday afternoons, the Riverbank Historical Museum will be closed this weekend so volunteers can celebrate the Fourth of July holiday weekend with their families.
The museum is at 3237 Santa Fe in downtown Riverbank, next to City Hall North. It is staffed by volunteers from the Riverbank Historical Society, a non-profit group dedicated to preserving, presenting and educating families on the history of Riverbank. Residents are invited to help preserve the past before it slips away.
The museum is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Saturdays from 1p.m. to 3 p.m.
Additional operating hours have been added recently: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
