New Station Opens Doors In Downtown Riverbank
Bar Crowd
Patrons gather for the grand opening and ribbon cutting at Riverbanks newest bar, The Station, at 2222 Santa Fe on Friday, July 3. The Station is also welcomed as the Chamber of Commerces newest member. The newest member of the Riverbank Chamber of Commerce has opened for business in downtown Riverbank.

The Station took up residence in a familiar location, 2222 Santa Fe St., next to the former Saddlery operated for many years by the late A.J. Meyers. It’s across the street from the Riverbank Historical Museum.

Since the Riverbank River Rats Motorcycle Club has established its headquarters in Meyer’s building, it is convenient to patronize the bar next door.

In addition to the usual fare, The Station features a unique amusement device, a Punching Bag, that measures the force with which it is hit, leading to some competitive confrontations among bar patrons. Women as well as men competed during grand opening festivities, which were sponsored by the Chamber.

In addition to multiple television sets for following sports and/or news, the downtown ‘Station’ boasts two pool tables and a powerful music system.
