U.S. Representative Jeff Denham will bring his November Mobile District Office Hours to the community on Thursday, Nov. 17. The session, set at Riverbank City Hall, 6707 Third St., will run from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mobile District Office Hours are an opportunity for 10th district residents to meet with the congressman and staff to hear more about his work in Washington, D.C. and the Central Valley, have their questions answered or get help with specific casework.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education’s YES (Youth Entertainment Stage) Kidettes will present Disney’s “Cinderella, Kids” beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Gallo Center for the Arts (1000 I St., Modesto). Two additional matinee performances are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 and Sunday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. Tickets priced at $12, $16, and $20, are on sale at the Gallo Center for the Arts box office and online at www.galloarts.org. The cast of Disney’s “Cinderella, Kids” represent 41 different schools, including Crossroads Elementary and Mesa Verde Elementary in Riverbank.

Have fun and get fit. Something for all ages with students young and old, T’ai Chi class with instructor Mary Layton is being offered every Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. There is a small charge, a $5 fee for the class, which is hosted at the Community Center in Riverbank.

The Riverbank Library Book Club will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. to discuss Crown of Dust by Mary Volmer. Later this month, teens and adults can take part in a book tree craft on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 3:30 p.m. Participants will make festive book trees by folding small magazines. Crafts are sponsored by the Friends of the Riverbank Library. The Riverbank Library is located at 3442 Santa Fe.

Riverbank welcomes the REO Speechtrain Toastmasters Club for regular meetings every Wednesday morning, 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., at Perko’s Cafe, Patterson and Oakdale roads, Riverbank. This is a fun way to learn the self-confidence and skills needed for public speaking. All are invited to come and check out the group. The next meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 23. The Stanislaus Senior Foundation will host its Annual Holiday Fundraiser on Friday, Dec. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event will be held at the historic McHenry Museum, 1402 I St., Modesto.
