Wapnowski and Battalion Chief Kevin Wise handled the presentation ceremony at Thursday night’s fire board meeting in Riverbank. Originally, Bachman began his career with the Oakdale City Fire Department in 1988 and served with Oakdale until 2014. When the contract for service started with Stanislaus Consolidated and Oakdale Fire District in 2014, he continued his service to the community and retired last month on May 15.
