Join those who are working to Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back by getting involved with the Relay For Life of Oakdale and Riverbank.

The American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event, the Relay For Life of Oakdale-Riverbank will be hosting its kickoff for the 2017 event tomorrow night, Thursday, Nov. 17 in Oakdale.

Riverbank, which has had its own Relay For Life for the past several years, has been consolidated this year into the Oakdale event. The Riverbank-Oakdale collaboration for 2017 is a common theme for the local ACS, as many smaller Relays are joining forces to work with larger cities, offering fewer overall events but each one expected to be a larger Relay.

The annual ACS Relay For Life of Oakdale-Riverbank will officially kick off the fundraising season and begin registration for teams on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mountain View Church Youth Lodge/Oakdale Youth Academy, 357 N. Eighth Ave., Oakdale. More information is also available by visiting the website at RelayForLife.org or relayforlife.org/oakdaleca. All interested are welcome to attend the Nov. 17 kickoff.
