Riverbank High School drama instructor Leslie Acker said over the weekend that the school’s presentation of ‘The Lion King Jr.’ would be affected by the ongoing coronavirus issue. This was even before the Stanislaus County Office of Education directed schools to close as of Thursday, March 19.

The production had scheduled five performances over three days at the end of the month.

Acker said they’re going to postpone the production, but didn’t have any details yet. The decision most likely depends on the extent and duration of class closures.

Late Friday, March 13, RHS Athletic Director John Bartlett said sports activities had been canceled through March 31 … that has also been extended due to the anticipated lengthy closure of county schools.
