Riverbank Library Sets Special Fall Activities

Kids that want to take part in a ‘Back to School’ craft can do that on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the Riverbank Branch Library, 3442 Santa Fe St., in Riverbank.

Set for 3:30 p.m., the Paper Bag Backpack Craft is open to all kids and they will learn how to make their own paper bag backpack. Participants will also be entered into a drawing for school supplies.

Switching the calendar to September, the first special event is set for Saturday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m., with Terry Harper of the Heirloom Garden Club offering a talk on how to put in a winter garden.

On Tuesday, Sept. 6, youngsters can attend an Autumn Leaf Suncatchers Craft event, set for 3:30 p.m. Library staff will help kids make suncatchers with colorful tissue paper.

On Wednesday, Sept. 7, the Friends of the Library will gather for its regular monthly meeting, set for 5 p.m.
