The Riverbank Historical Museum will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
The move will allow the volunteer staff more time to spend with their families at this time, according to Riverbank Historical Society President Paulette Roberson. The museum will be open during its regular hours, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, during the Riverbank Christmas Faire, she added.
Holiday hours at the end of the year will find the museum open on both Tuesdays, of Christmas week (Dec. 22) and New Year’s (Dec. 29) week, from 10 a.m. to noon, its regular hours of operation.
Both Thursdays those weeks, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, the museum will be closed. It will remain closed those Saturdays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, as well, Roberson said.
In addition, there be will no Memories Day scheduled in December. It will resume on the second Tuesday of January, at 11 a.m. at the museum.
