The 2016 Relay For Life of Riverbank kickoff party is set for Sunday, Dec. 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Frances of Rome Church, 2827 Topeka St.

The kickoff party will be jam packed with information about the 2016 Relay and filled with fun and excitement, said organizers. Wear your purple and show your Relay spirit. Snacks and drinks will be provided and they will also have a time to ‘paint the town purple’ at the event.

Meanwhile, Relay For Life of Riverbank is hosting a poinsettia fundraiser with orders due by Friday, Dec. 4. Order your poinsettias for the holidays through this special Relay fundraiser. Poinsettias are grown on site in the Duarte Nursey’s state of the art modern greenhouses. Orders received on and before Dec. 4 will be available for pick-up on Thursday, Dec. 10 in time for holiday decorating and gift giving. The cost is $12 per poinsettia, placed in 8-inch decorative pots. A donation of $5 per plant from that $12 cost will go to Relay For Life Riverbank.
