The annual Escalon Park Fete Run/Walk is set for Saturday morning, July 15.

Runners from around the region typically take part in this mid-summer event, with proceeds this year benefitting the El Portal Middle School track team and the Escalon High School cheerleaders.

Sign-ups are being taken online at Runsignup.com or you can register the day of the race. Saturday morning registration begins at 6:30 a.m. at El Portal, 805 First St., Escalon.

Cost for either race is $35 for adults; $20 for kids 19 and under.

Both races leave from and return to El Portal, starting at 7:30 a.m.; the 2-mile run/walk covers all flat, paved city streets while the 10k run includes a course of both paved city streets and country roads.
