The hot days of summer are not over yet; however, summer vacation for Riverbank Unified School District students is quickly coming to an end. The time to go shopping for school clothes and supplies is upon us if you have not done it yet.

The first day of school for all Riverbank Unified School District students is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 10. Contact individual school sites for specific times: schools in the district include Riverbank High School, Cardozo Middle School, Mesa Verde Elementary, California Avenue Elementary, Riverbank Language Academy and Adelante High School.

Riverbank Language Academy will be holding its back to school night on Thursday, Aug. 6. Back-to-School night for California Avenue Elementary and Mesa Verde Elementary will be on Thursday, Aug. 13. Cardozo Middle School will have its back to school night on Tuesday, Aug. 18; Adelante High School’s will be on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Rounding out the events to kick off the new school year, Riverbank High School will hold back to school night on Thursday, Aug. 20.

Coming up on Thursday, Aug. 6 Riverbank High School will host the Annual Kick-Off event for returning high school students in the Ray Fauria Gymnasium at 8 a.m. There will be light refreshments and a luncheon for all RUSD employees, classified and certificated, and special recognition provided to those who have served the district for 15 years and over.
