Despite the on and off rain of last weekend, a downtown Riverbank business was the site of a Christmas Faire specializing in crafts, makeup and other wares provided by at-home business entrepreneurs.

Vena Hudgins, owner of Vena’s Secrets, a skin care salon on Santa Fe Street in Riverbank, decided to host a “Jingle, Mingle and Shop” event at her shop on Saturday.

She invited small business, at-home crafts workers and other vendors to come together for the holiday shopping boutique, to network and sell their wares.

There were jewelers, fashion offerings, make up specialists, even a mobile van carrying a clothes boutique, parked in front of the store. A home-based photographer displayed examples of her work and there were seasonal home decoration items on display.

The crowd might have been hindered somewhat by the intermittent rain outside, but the flow of visitors continued through the afternoon.

In addition to Diane Hansen Photography, vendors for the day included Bella Rouge Mobile Boutique, Diva’s Closet, “Young” Ladies Crafts & More, Origami Owl Custom Jewelry, LuLaroe Beenie & JoJo, Pure Romance by Sherine, and The Glass Slipper Boutique. Both Scentsy and Younique distributors were also on hand.
