Volunteers for Riverbank Christian Food Sharing will be cooking up their 27th annual Spaghetti Dinner this weekend.

Set for Saturday, Sept. 19 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the dinner will be served at Riverbank Community Center, 3600 Santa Fe. Dinner includes spaghetti, bread, salad bar, ice cream and cookies, coffee, lemonade, and water to drink. Adult tickets are $8 and tickets for children under 12 are $4. If you prefer to take out your dinner, the volunteers can accommodate orders to go. They will also be selling tickets for a bag-a-rama drawing for gifts from local businesses. All are encouraged to come and support this all-volunteer organization so they can continue to provide food for those in need of help in the Riverbank community. Tickets will be available at the door or call 480-6548 or 869-3710.

Riverbank Christian Food Sharing is also starting a campaign for donations to replace the refrigeration unit at the Scout Hall.

“The walk in refrigerator is vital to our ability to serve those in need,” explained group member Lynda Silva. “The unit is getting old and it is becoming difficult to find parts for repair.”

Donations for this fund can be sent to Riverbank Christian Food Sharing, RCFS, at P.O. Box 1373, Riverbank, CA 95367.

“We are a non-profit so all donations are tax deductible and receipts will be issued,” Silva added. “We appreciate the support we receive.”
