The American Association of University Women, Oakdale, Riverbank, Escalon Branch, will host Marion Kaanon, who will speak about the role and function of the Stanislaus Community Foundation, on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. This foundation offers 100 unique charitable funds under one umbrella. These funds are set up by individuals, families, corporations, as well as public and nonprofit agencies – anyone with a charitable goal can achieve it by utilizing the services of this community foundation. Since 2002, Stanislaus Community Foundation has provided over $9 million in grants and scholarships within this region. The AAUW, ORE Branch utilizes their services when awarding scholarships to eligible young women.
