In a continued celebration of Woodward Reservoir’s 100th season, Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation is bringing an Ultimate Boat & Sport Expo to the main boat ramp of the reservoir on Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to come to the event for a day spent outdoors, perusing impressive boats and sporting equipment, enjoying food and beverages, and spending quality time with friends and family.

“This event further supports the Department’s mission of providing family-friendly events throughout the year to our community.” said Jami Aggers, Director, Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation. “We’ve also invited many local businesses and organizations to participate as vendors and help us build a great event for our visitors.”

The event will feature boat vendors from throughout the Central Valley, including Bass Pro Shops of Manteca, Boat Country of Escalon, Bob’s Marine of Modesto, Norcal Mastercraft of Discovery Bay, and Wake Craft Boats of Merced. Modesto-area motorcycle vendors Cycle Specialties, Honda Yamaha KTM, and Lucky Customs will also be bringing ATV’s and motorcycles out to the event. And if you forget your sunscreen, Crescent Work & Outdoor will be selling everything you need to enjoy a day outdoors at the reservoir.

For the 21-and-over crowd there will be plenty of cold beer, wine, and spirits to enjoy while at the event. Food vendors will also be serving hot dogs, ice cream and smoothies. Children can participate in the free face painting booth facilitated by Stanislaus County Police Activities League. The Sheriff’s Department, Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard, and Department of Boating and Waterways will all be there to educate guests about their organizations and water safety.

In honor of Woodward’s centennial birthday, KHOP 95.1 and 104.1 The Hawk will be broadcasting live at the event with upbeat music and a free giveaway of 100 lifejackets throughout the day.

All of this will be taking place on the main boat ramp. Woodward Reservoir is on 26-Mile Road, off Highway 120, north of Oakdale. Admission to the park is $10 per carload for Stanislaus County residents and $15 for out-of-county residents. There is no extra cost to attend the boat expo.
