Being in business for 18 years, owner Vena Pearson Hudgins of Vena’s Secrets has enjoyed hosting an annual open house for clients to show her appreciation for their business. The 2017 event began at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and ended at 8 p.m. with some guests showing up before and others staying just a little bit later.

“It’s more of a client appreciation day,” said Hudgins. “My products and services are slashed at a deep discount in order to show how much I appreciate all the business.”

There were refreshments for guests to enjoy and a variety of food to savor along with live music. Café Bravo and Papapolloni’s provided tasty treats.

Booths were set up for people to try different products like Coquette Chronicles that carry mink eyelashes from Beverly Hills and free makeovers by international trainer Carrie Smith in Motives Cosmetics.

“We had our own Lana Clayton as our product tester and sampler,” added Hudgins. “We had the famous bartenders Kittie Curtoni and Tiffany Mullier for our wine bar and martini bar.

“We also had Marlene Hodgson, our resident nail tech, giving out hand dips and Joanna Cooksey customizing foundation for your skin, as well as suggesting what products to use on the skin.”

Cindy Stowe with Cindy’s Country brought her pop up boutique and set up a few different racks with apparel. Caitlyn Hartzell had a few repurposed bird feeders available for guests to purchase.

Hudgins reported approximately 300 people in attendance throughout the day and everyone left with a swag bag.
