Incumbent Ana Vigil, serving out an appointment on the Riverbank Unified School District Board of Trustees, has filed to run for re-election. She will run in the November election in Trustee Area 5 and is the only candidate for that post. Filings were due by Friday, Aug. 7 – any posts that did not have an incumbent file by that time are extended until 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Trustee Area 1 on the school board has been extended, as no candidates filed to seek that seat, according to information posted on the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters website.

Races are shaping up for the Oakdale Irrigation District Board, with some Riverbank parcels included in the OID service area. Division 1 has incumbent Frank Clark being challenged by Gail Altieri; Division 4 pits incumbent Al Bairos Jr. against Linda Santos and in Division 5, incumbent Gary Osmundson – who was appointed in late April– is running to fill the remainder of a term, which runs through December 2017, and is being challenged by Daniel Medina.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
