Wildlife Care Center Sets Annual Day With Animals
Wildlife pix
Animals, such as this baby screech owl, are among those being cared for at the Stanislaus Wildlife Carte Center, which will host its annual Day with Wildlife on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center celebrates its anniversary every fall with Day with Wildlife. This year it is their 33rd anniversary. All are invited to come see some of their educational animals up close and personal. There will be BBQ tri tip sandwiches, hot dogs, ice cream sundaes, face painting, T-shirts for sale, raffle drawings, bake sale, kid’s crafts, and even wild barn owl pellets to dissect. There is no admission charge.

Raffle items can be found on the web site: StanislausWildlife.org.

Day with Wildlife is set for Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wildlife Center inside Fox Grove Fishing Access, 1220 Geer Road, Hughson.

Come meet the volunteers and employees, the people who care for all of the 2,000-plus injured and orphaned animals they admit each year. Also, meet the animal ambassadors, animals that couldn’t be released, and now live at the Stanislaus Wildlife Care Center. Many of these animals travel to schools to help students learn about California native wildlife.
