The Riverbank Federated Women’s Club celebrated the conclusion of its ‘season’ with the installation of officers for the next year.

The ceremony was held at the Riverbank Scout Hall on Tuesday, May 17 at the club’s last meeting of the year. The women take the summer off and resume meetings in September.

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service, according to the national website. The organization is based in Washington D.C.

The local group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, September through May, at the Scout Hall.

They just completed one of their main fundraising efforts, an Enchilada Sale. They also host a Holiday Luncheon to raise money.

In addition to supporting a Robotics club at Beyer High School in Modesto, where several Riverbank students attend, the club provides scholarships for several high school students among other community activities.
