The Riverbank Federated Women’s Club recently held its last fundraiser of the season, the enchilada sale that wraps up the year for the group.

After preparing the ingredients the day before, the group gathered at Riverbank’s Scout Hall to package them, ingredient by ingredient, five to a box, in assembly line fashion. Members of the club worked most of two days to prepare, assemble and deliver approximately 1,000 enchiladas.

Next up for the group is its Inauguration meeting on Tuesday, May 17, where officers for next year will be installed. Then, the group takes a summer hiatus, leaving time for trips, vacations and other activities.

They reconvene in the fall, according to current co-president Marilyn McRitchie.
