The Riverbank Federated Women’s Club packed the city’s Community Center on Santa Fe Street as it hosted the Annual Holiday Table Decorating Luncheon this past weekend. The fundraiser for the club helps support the club’s scholastic opportunities for local students.
Guests enjoyed the many decorated tables, each with its own theme, that brightened the auditorium. The event started at 11 a.m. when the doors opened and attendees could admire the table decorations and mingle, visiting and sharing some holiday spirit, prior to the noon start of the luncheon event.
Annette Hutton, of Hutton’s Hamlet in Oakdale, provided the piano music prelude and accompanied two of her singing students while attendees began their meal. The Hamlet offers private instruction, instrumental sales and rental, music supplies and summer musical theatre productions. Hutton’s Hamlet has also provided the entertainment at the table setting event for the past few years.
Local and regional businesses provided merchandise and services as prizes for the event, with a number of drawings conducted.
Among those providing prizes and gifts were Saputo Foods, Gustine, and Ciccarelli Farms, Modesto. From Riverbank were SaveMart, Target, La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, Rodin Farms Fruit Stand, Farmer Boys, Round Table Pizza, Designs by Karen, O’Brien’s Market, Landon’s Men’s Wear, Planet Beach Tanning Salon and Tammy Nails.
Also from Riverbank, supporters included El Rosal Restaurant, Les Schwab Tire Center, Grand China, Boyett Petroleum, Pizza Plus, Morris Nursery, Nifty Drive-In, Prime Shine Car Wash, and Valadez Jewelers Inc.
Mulberry Lane in McHenry Village provided the door prize. Local caterer Arnold Hoff presented the meal.
Attendees bought tickets for the table of their choice, many families gathering or business associates choosing to dine together at the festively set, holiday-themed tables.
