The Sonora Writers Group meets every second Saturday of each month. This Saturday, Oct. 8 will be the next meeting of the group, scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Members encourage and support writers of prose, poetry, memoirs and film. Anyone interested in attending and sharing their original work may bring three to four pages double spaced with copies for group critiquing. Observers are always welcome as well.

The Sonora Writers Group hosts public readings and organized book signings and other literary events for local authors throughout the Motherlode region.
