Riverbank Police Services Chief Ed Ridenour and District 1 Riverbank City Councilmember Luis Uribe will team up to host a free Community BBQ for Riverbank residents on Saturday, Aug. 21.

The event is scheduled at 11 a.m. at Castleberg Park, 5845 Eighth St., Riverbank.

All are welcome to attend the community gathering, being sponsored jointly by the city and the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, with which RPS is affiliated.

Though it is open to all city residents, there will be some discussion specific to the neighborhood.

Officials said a primary topic for the gathering will be the future of Castleberg Park, including possible park upgrades and security. Surrounding area residents are especially invited to attend the barbecue to stay updated on the park plans.
