mjc

In consultation with Stanislaus County Health Services Agency, community partners, and following the new policy on public gatherings, provided by the California Department of Public Health, on March 11, 2020, all employee and student travel, all athletic events, and community events at Modesto Junior College, are suspended until the end of March. MJC will re-evaluate at the end of March.

It is important to note that campus is not closed and business operations are continuing as normal.

MJC President, Dr. Jim Houpis, shared in a message to the entire campus: “Please be assured, we are doing everything possible to limit the spread of COVID-19 within our campus and surrounding communities. The health of our students, faculty, staff and community, guide our decision making. As a result, we are communicating with the Office of the Chancellor, our local and state health agencies, campus leadership, and are considering options for alternative instructional delivery methods.”
