Movie Fundraiser Slated Nov. 15
movie

It’s getting late, but those who wish to support the Riverbank Historical Society in its quest to raise money to build an annex for the city’s museum can still take time on Thursday, Nov. 15 to attend a special anniversary screening of Back to the Future, Part II at the Galaxy Theatres.

In addition to the main showing, two DeLorean cars will be on hand for family photo opportunities before the show starts at 6:30 p.m., according to committee chair Rich Holmer.

He said tickets will be available at the door, but from Society members, not the box office of the Galaxy.

And patrons will want to be sure to write their names and phone numbers on the backs of their tickets to be eligible for the movie fan drawings to be held after the screening. Up for grabs are $100 and $50 gift certificates for later movies at the Galaxy, as well as three-movie sets of the Back to the Future series on DVD, the 30th anniversary edition.

Proceeds from the event will be used to help build the new annex to the Riverbank Historical Museum, on Santa Fe Street, in downtown Riverbank.
