Riverbank Parks and Recreation Director Sue Fitzpatrick relaxes at her desk just minutes before the end of her last day, on Thursday, Sept. 7, at City Hall North. She has retired after 25 years in the position, having overseen improvements and growth in the activities and parks for which she has been responsible. During that period, as Riverbank has grown, parks have been added to both new neighborhoods and old. Fitzpatrick said that she has no particular activities in mind for her retirement, at least at present, but has committed to helping city management find her replacement.
