Co-President Zoe Kilkenny will gavel in the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Oakdale-Riverbank-Escalon Branch’s 60th year celebration at its fall membership meeting. That session is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17 beginning at 10 a.m.

The Oakdale Branch was chartered in April, 1962. In 1989 the branch added Riverbank to its name to include members residing there. When the Escalon Branch disbanded in 1995, the remaining members joined the Oakdale-Riverbank Branch. In 2006, the branch’s official title became the Oakdale-Riverbank-Escalon (ORE) Branch. At this milestone meeting, members, guests and prospective members will meet two Tech Trek campers the Branch sent to the organization’s annual STEM camp held at California State University, Fresno early this summer. The two young women, now eighth graders, will share their experiences attending the camp. In addition, Teri Curtis, Vice President, Program will preview programs planned for the upcoming year. Afterwards members and guests will share lunch; the meeting will be held in a member’s backyard. Prospective members in the Oakdale, Riverbank, or Escalon area are invited to attend. They can call (209) 847-0271 for information and directions and to make reservations.
