Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 12-07-22

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Nov. 29 through Monday, Dec. 5. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, DEC. 5

Battalion 5 companies completed weekly apparatus/equipment maintenance.

Engine 28 assisted with the MST Firefighter Recruit Academy.

5:40 p.m. – No address listed. Stanislaus Engine 26, Engine 3 and BC5 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident. Engine 28 arrived to find two vehicles involved with several minor injuries. CHP investigating.

8:21 p.m. – No address listed. Engine 28, Engine/WT27, Truck 5 and BC5 were dispatched to a potential structure fire for a generator on fire inside a building. Engine 28 arrived to find a generator on fire inside a small utility building. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished.

 

SUNDAY, DEC. 4

MST units conducted equipment checks and station maintenance.

Probationary training was conducted.

 

SATURDAY, DEC. 3

Crews completed weekly station maintenance.

MCS crews rotated through Station 17 for active shooter training.

Crews performed individual company training.

During all the city’s parades, Battalion 5 managed resources ensuring all areas had adequate coverage with multiple incidents throughout our organization.

 

FRIDAY, DEC. 2

Crews conducted company level training on various skills.

Crews worked on station cleanup and maintenance.

3:48 p.m. – Modesto E7, E9 and Stanislaus BC2 responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries at Terminal and Claus Road. BC2 arrived on scene and found four vehicles involved with no injuries. One engine continued to assist with fluid clean up and patient contact. CHP was on scene investigating.

7:16 p.m. – Modesto E27 responded to the 500 block of Buckaroo Court for an EMS call. OPD was on scene to assist.

8:22 p.m. – Modesto E28, E27, T5, BC5, Stanislaus E26, E21, E23 and BC2 responded to the 12000 block of 26-Mile Road in Oakdale for a working residential fire. E28 arrived on scene and found a well involved double wide trailer on fire. Crews were able to quickly contain the fire to one trailer and extinguish the fire. The fire required extensive overhaul and salvage. FIU was on scene to conduct and origin and cause investigation.

 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 30

Crews conducted crew training and online training.

Engine 29 conducted company level training at Fire Station 17.

Engine 27 assisted the Oakdale High School Fire Science Class.

12:04 p.m. – No address listed. Engine 29, Engine 28, Engine 27 and BC5 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident. Engine 29 arrived to find a single vehicle involved with the occupant trapped. Crews worked for approximately 30 minutes on extrication and the patient was transported from the scene to a local emergency room. CHP investigating.

 

TUESDAY, NOV. 29

Crews conducted crew training and online training.

Engine 28 assisted the Oakdale High School ROP Class.
