Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 4-20-22

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, April 12 through Monday, April 18. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, APRIL 18

Crews conducted mayday drills at Station 15.

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 17

The Hazmat Team conducted monthly training.

Crews trained with probationary firefighters on various skills at Station 17.

Hose training on commercial buildings

3:40 p.m. – No address listed; E28, E27 and BC5 responded to several adults trampled by a cow. There were three minor injuries and one major trauma patient that was transported by air ambulance to Doctors Medical Center.

7:45 p.m. – E9, E7, E5, E21, E22, E3, T5, BC1, BC5 and FIU responded to the area of Merle Avenue/Roselle Avenue for the report of a residential working structure fire. Units on scene located an exterior fire which had been extinguished by the residents. The area of the fire contained a power strip and extension cords. Damage was limited to a small patch of stucco and drywall. The FIU responded to investigate.

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 16

Crews worked on probationary firefighter training and skills at Station 17.

 

FRIDAY, APRIL 15

HazMat Team members trained on equipment that can stop leaks of fluids and worked on equipment used to identify various chemicals.

Modesto E7, E27 and Consolidated E27 conducted multi-company training in Riverbank.

 

THURSDAY, APRIL 14

Crews participated in RT130 training throughout the day.

B-1, T-1, T-5, SQ-11 trained on upcoming trench class.

E-28 attended and participated at Valley Home School’s jogathon.

 

TUESDAY, APRIL 12

Crews trained on target hazard response and operations.
