The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.
Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, March 29 through Tuesday, April 5. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.
TUESDAY, APRIL 5
2:43 a.m. – Engine 26, Engine 27, Engine 7, Engine 28, Engine 9, Truck 5, BC5 and BC1 were dispatched to a working residential structure fire in the 3700 block of California Avenue in the City of Riverbank. Engine 26 arrived to find a well-involved garage and crews began work to extinguish and contain the fire. The fire was quickly contained and is currently under investigation.
MONDAY, APRIL 4
Engine 27 assisted the Oakdale High School Fire Science Class with EMS training/equipment orientation.
Fire Station 29 conducted water supply training.
Fire Station 27 personnel began work to place “new” Engine 27 into service.
SUNDAY, APRIL 3
Engine 28 completed the sign-off process on Quint 18.
SATURDAY, APRIL 2
5:34 p.m. – BC5, E27, E28 responded for the report of injury accident at the 7200 block of Langworth Road. Crews assisted Oak Valley with assessing for injuries and transport.
TUESDAY, MARCH 29
10:15 a.m. – E-27 and WR-28 assisted OPD with identifying and removing an object from the Stanislaus River in the City of Oakdale.
