Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 6-9-21

A Monday night call, shortly before 11 p.m., had fire crews checking on a vehicle in the canal at Terminal and Claus; no occupants were located in the vehicle. Modesto Fire Department Photo

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, June 1 through Monday, June 7. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, JUNE 7

11:08 a.m. – Modesto E27, E28 and Modesto BC5 responded to a traffic collision at Crane Road and Patterson Road in Oakdale. Two patients were transported with major injuries to a local hospital.

8:16 p.m. – Modesto E29, E28, E27 and Modesto BC5 and Chief 3 responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the 15000 block of Orange Blossom Road in Oakdale. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle accident with three patients trapped inside the vehicle. Crews worked to extricate the patients and after an extended extrication, two patients were flown out by two separate air ambulances to area hospitals.

10:50 p.m. – Modesto E9 and BC5 and Stanislaus Consolidated Q22 responded to reports of a vehicle in the canal at Terminal and Claus. Crews arrived on scene and checked the vehicle and did not find any occupants.

 

SUNDAY, JUNE 6

4:42 p.m. – Engine 28, Engine 27, Engine 29 and BC5 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highway 120 east of Oakdale. Crews located a single vehicle involved with minor injuries. CHP investigating

 

SATURDAY, JUNE 5

Brush 28 assisted Cal Fire with a vegetation fire in the area of Milton and Pacheco roads.

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 4

5:17 p.m. – Engine 28 responded to a vehicle fire on East G Street and Hallman Lane in Oakdale. The Stanislaus County FIU is investigating.

6:01 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department responded to a working structure fire on Lasso Court in Oakdale. The fire was in a detached garage with a residence above the garage. The fire was contained to the residence. One occupant suffered burn injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a burn center. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Stanislaus County FIU.

 

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2

1:11 p.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus Consolidated units responded to a reported working structure fire in the 200 block of Santa Fe. On arrival crews found a well involved motor home that was threatening two other travel trailers. The fire was contained to the motor home with heat damage to the two other travel trailers. Stanislaus Regional FIU is conducting the investigation.
