Oakdale Rodeo Parade Entry Deadline Looms

Coming up over Easter weekend, it will be the 71st annual Oakdale Saddle Club PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) Rodeo and Saturday, April 8 will feature the popular rodeo parade.

Entries are being sought from throughout the area for the morning parade and entries typically include local service clubs, equestrian units, businesses, youth groups, bands, and more. Staging begins at 7 a.m. and the parade begins promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 8.

Staging will be at the intersection of West F Street and North/South Oak Avenue in Oakdale; this year’s Rodeo Parade Grand Marshal will be Oakdale Mayor Cherilyn Bairos.

There is a $35 entry fee per group and that can be submitted to Oakdale Saddle Club Parade, P.O. Box 1436, Oakdale, CA 95361.

For performing groups, they can have a routine prepared of no more than 60 seconds to perform in front of the judging/announcing stand and all entries will be judged by the Oakdale Saddle Club and KAT Country. All awards will be given out a week later at the Oakdale Saddle Club Rodeo Grounds; all winners will be notified.

Deadline for entries is Friday, March 31.
