Alvin was born and lived in Oakdale CA. At 94 he passed on Oct. 29, 2020. He is survived by his wife Marie of 38 years, four children: Cherryl Castillo of Creswell, OR; Valerie Hayes of Sanger, CA; Brett and Bart Beltrami of Oakdale, CA; two stepchildren: Johnny Fisher of Twain Harte, CA; Barbara Fisher of Oakdale, CA; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcello and Lina, brother Jim and sister Mary; and stepdaughter Patty Wilson.
Alvin quit high school to join the army where he was a PFC Combat Infantryman, Athletic Instructor and a Scout during WWII. Upon returning home; he returned to ranching. He also worked for Hunt-Wesson Foods until his retirement in 1988. In his younger days he enjoyed breaking horses, hunting, fast pitch softball, and bowling. After retirement he and Marie loved traveling in their motor home, playing cards with family and friends; he enjoyed watching old westerns on TV, and he loved to sit in the sun on his front porch.
We love you Dad; Gone but not forgotten, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by the family.
