Arbelle Floyd Cervantes, 81, died Thursday, Sept. 12.

She was born in Arkansas, and grew up in San Diego.

Mrs. Cervantes was employed many years as a bookkeeper and office manager.

She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church, a former Sunday school teacher, choir vocalist, and general all around church volunteer. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, playing piano, and singing gospel tunes.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family will miss her.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Cervantes; sons, Charles (Pamela), Carl (Cathy), Clyde (Denise), and Cary (Kelly); brothers, Chris and Wesley Waits; sister, Floy Waits Kennedy; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 51 years, Al Floyd.
