ARTHUR (TUDY) BENITEZ

Arthur (Tudy) Benitez passed quietly in his home in the early hours of December 24, 2018. He was 84 years of age.

Art’s parents, deceased, were Jesus and Isabel Benitez. He was the oldest of six children.

Art attended Riverbank schools and upon graduating from Oakdale High School enlisted in the United States Air Force. After four years of service he came home to begin work at Silgan Containers of which he remained employed for 37 years. Art was a lifetime member of Saint Frances of Rome Catholic Church. He served on many volunteer committees and truly loved the church.

Arthur married Sandra Tanner in October of 1965. They have two daughters Cindy Benham and Lisa Domino. He also leaves two grandsons Vincent and Nicholas Benham and his only granddaughter Alexandra Benitez and a great grandson Hunter Benham. Among his siblings he leaves sister Del Perez, Hope Serrano, Dolores Massey, Mary Yule (deceased), and his one brother Larry Benitez.

Visitation will be held at Riverbank Memorial Chapel, 3131 Santa Fe, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 7, immediately followed by a rosary from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on January 8 at 11 a.m. at Saint Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2827 Topeka Street, Riverbank. A luncheon will follow at the church hall.

A private interment will be on Wednesday, January 9 at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 McCabe Road, Santa Nella CA at 1 p.m.
